    Roles & Responsibilities

    Company Profile - SME with over $100m in sales, distributing and providing after sales service to consumer electronics across multiple Southeast Asia and South Asia markets, working with the largest brands. Recognized annually by Singapore's Enterprise 50 Awards as one of the top SMEs.

    Qualifications

    • At least 3 years of experience in Audit and/or Finance activities for an SME or Corporation
    • Is a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA), CA Inter or MCom
    • Has deep experience in several of the following areas:
      • Preparing, posting and reviewing daily accounting transactions
      • Monthly closing process and reconciliation activities
      • Reviewing customer and vendor ledgers to track versus limits or commitments
      • Cash management and accounts reconciliation
      • Trade Finance document preparation and settlement
      • Audits
    • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to create and manage formulas, macros and lookups and maintain trackers to monitor accounts, transactions
    • Experience working with an ERP (e.g., SAP B1 or Netsuite)
    • Self-confident, self-starter, independent worker with a strong focus on task completion
    • Highly analytical and comfortable with problem solving
    • Experience working with cross-functional and pan-geographic teams across multiple markets is a plus

    Roles and responsibilities

    1. Accounting
      • Reviewing daily accounting transactions by accessing the ERP system or the Excel trackers.
      • Closing general ledgers each month by the agreed cut-off date and with high accuracy.
      • Reviewing customer and vendor ledgers on a weekly and monthly basis and highlighting any discrepancies to agreed limits or terms.
    2. Cash Management
      • Monitoring daily cash inflow and outflow to ensure proper cash management and timely payment to vendors and financial institutions
    3. Trade Finance
      • Reviewing all Trade Finance (TF) applications before submitting to the various banks, including ensuring the most efficient facility is used.
      • Ensuring timely submission of pre or post shipment documents to the bank
      • Ensuring settlement of TF is done within due date and without incurring penalties or unnecessary charges
    4. Management Reports
      • Assisting the Head of Finance Operations in preparation of monthly financial management reports
    5. Audit
      • Assist in interim and annual audit of the different country operations
      • Assist in interim and annual audits of the different business lines / brands.
    6. Other ad hoc duties as assigned.
