JOB DUTIES:

Supports the Region Managers in accomplishing Scheduling & Operations Planning (S&OP) deliverables.

This position works with plants in regions, including preparations and support for Pre-S&OP meetings and prepare reports for Board SOP leadership team.


The incumbent is responsible to prepare Pre-S&OP materials for Region Managers on a monthly basis and develop yearly S&OP calendar.

The incumbent is required to prepare and make specific recommendations to Region Managers, as part of S&OP on supply and demand review / allocation based on priorities set by the business.


Prepares monthly "One Page Synopsis" of region-specific Monthly Board S&OP "brief" for use by management 24 hours prior to Board S&OP.

Responsible for preparing Order Coverage Report on a monthly basis to Region Managers of the "Orders On Hand" status vs.

demand signal in order for Regional Team to secure orders for uncovered production slots.


With the change in product group accountabilities to manage factory inventory and the creation of the Worldwide Distribution Centers (DC) for prime product, this position is responsible for decision making and recommendation of factory stock and DC inventories for regional plants and regional DCs in their territory.

As such key job functions are having the data available and managed to provide monthly production levels for factory stock and Lane configuration decision making in their region(s).


Handles all daily dialogue and action that may be required for ongoing S&OP matters throughout the month with the objective of maximizing CAT production and supply chain channel against ever changing market demands.

**Minimum travel required (10% to 20% of working time).


BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE:


Requires college degree and preferably 3-5 years of experience in business or related field, experience in factory scheduling, knowledge of prime products and attachments is a plus.

Understanding of regional and global economic conditions and their linkage to our markets and impact on demand and factory orders would enhance position success.

Sound judgment, strong communication skills and ability to work with people are essential.
