Description

Requirements:

• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair life-saving and fire-fighting equipment on ships to meet class regulations and SOLAS standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and testing of liferafts, lifeboats, fire extinguishers, hoses, and other firefighting gear as per manufacturer instructions and regulations.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues promptly and effectively.
• Conduct annual maintenance and certification of LSA/FFA equipment, adhering to industry best practices and safety protocols.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance, inspections, and repairs for regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with ship crews, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure safe operation of onboard systems.
• Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and technology through ongoing training and education.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years of maritime LSA/FFA experience.
• Strong understanding of class regulations, SOLAS requirements, and maritime standards.
• Proficient in equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Detail-oriented with effective communication skills.
• Willingness to work in challenging maritime environments and travel.
• Certifications or training in LSA/FFA maintenance preferred.
