Job Overview
ING Financial Markets (FM) is looking for a new member to join its Corporate Sales team in Singapore.
Focus will be on new client origination (with focus on Offshore China names) while also servicing on some existing clients.
You will be promoting ING's capabilities in areas like Foreign Exchange, Rates, Commodities, Options and provide hedging / yield enhancement ideas and solutions to our corporate clients.
Key responsibilities- Work with Sector coverage bankers and FM colleagues across China, Singapore and HK regions to build and grow offshore China corridor portfolio.
- Opportunities to extend coverage to other Asian clients, though focus is on building the China offshore business
- Create, identify, evaluate and explore commercial opportunities for existing and prospective clients. Target to deepen client relationships and increase FM 'share of wallet', with due consideration to the client's as well as ING (FM)'s interests
- Build effective relationships with CFOs, Treasurers or Treasury Managers of our clients and improve the customer experience
- Actively involved in client pitches, credit approval process of FM limits, completing FM documentations like ISDA and setting up of relevant FM systems during the client onboarding stage
- Drive utilisation of FM limits and client profitability by working closely with other FM sales and trading colleagues and other internal stakeholders
- Advise clients on hedging solutions by incorporating ING macro research views and outlook
To be considered for this role, you should ideally possess the following pre-requisites:
- Degree holder with minimum 8 years of Financial Markets sales experience in a financial institution
- Relevant experiences building and covering Chinese corridor clients
- Strong knowledge of Financial Markets products is essential, including FX and Rates derivatives. Knowledge in cross border structures and commodities will be an advantage
- Good understanding of local market regulations that impact the bank or our clients
- Fluent in English; Mandarin speaking and reading ability is a must
- A strong team player with good interpersonal and communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactive, selfdriven, confident, with an enterprising and "can do" attitude
