The Asia Pacific (APAC) Brands function is responsible for ensuring that Hilton's global brands attract, excite, and inspire guests in and to the APAC region.

It is also responsible for ensuring that our brands are attractive investment propositions for owners in the APAC region.

The Brand Strategic Planning and Innovation function takes a cross-brand, enterprise perspective of the stay and develops products, services, and programs that enable our brands to consistently deliver friendly and reliable stays to our guests.

The team focuses both on "stay basics" as well as opportunities for Hilton to "elevate the stay." The Director, Strategic Planning and Innovation will be responsible for independently leading cross-functional projects and teams to do so.


Examples of projects may include:

  • Leading the enterprise Customer Promise project in the APAC
  • Developing regionwide programs to address the top 3 drivers of guest dissatisfaction onproperty
  • Developing new brand standards to improve the sleep experience and/or the shower experience
  • Piloting a new global guest satisfaction metric and dashboard, and refining it to maximize the ability of hotel teams to improve guest experience
  • Identifying the onproperty technology investments that deliver the greatest boost to guest satisfaction relative to the cost/effort required to implement


Winning hearts and minds of our regional and global stakeholders, including Hilton's five sub-regions within the APAC and functional groups such as commercial services, human resources, technology, and procurement is mission-critical to success in this role.

The Director, Strategic Planning and Innovation is responsible for driving alignment across our stakeholders and independently aligning his/her peers.


Example responsibilities include:

  • Leading tests, pilots, or surveys to assess guest response and operational impact of different potential programs
  • Conducting presentations and/or showcases to introduce new brand products and services to a variety of internal and external audiences
  • Crafting written narratives that drive senior stakeholder support for proposed brand products and services
The Director reports to the Senior Director, Strategic Planning and Innovation.


What will I be doing?
As the Director, Strategic Planning and Innovation - APAC, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Structure ambiguous problems into clear issues to be solved
  • Use data and qualitative feedback to formulate hypotheses and identify opportunities to improve guest experience and brand love
  • Develop brand products and services for the APAC region, including ideation, research, testing, collecting feedback, launch, and adaptation
  • Lead crossfunctional project teams and working groups of regional and global colleagues
  • Adapt global brand programs to meet the needs of APAC guests, owners, team members, hotels, and communities
  • Align global and regional stakeholders on proposed brand projects
  • Develop documents, presentations, and analyses and using them to drive alignment
  • Write communications, documentation, and detailed brand standards to drive program implementation
  • Present findings verbally and in writing in a clear and compelling manner
  • Own and drive discrete projects independently, including work planning to enable ontime completion of deliverables
  • Work with internal and external partners to conduct hotel, guest, and owner research
  • Conduct quantitative analysis in Excel
