    COMPANY DESCRIPTION
    The Children and Youth Group (CYG) in The Salvation Army Singapore serves hundreds of vulnerable children and youth yearly.

    In line with our vision to provide a continuum of care to uplift those in need, our services span from preventive services, foster care and residential services to reunification support services for vulnerable children returning to their natural families after being removed due to safety concerns.

    We believe that every child is precious and unique and children grow best in families. We also believe in the potential of every child and family to transform and thrive.

    Kids In Play is one of our key programmes and it aims to support and empower families and children who have a parent in prison.

    We provide professional support to address the impact of parental incarceration on children and caregivers, help to strengthen familial bonds and facilitate the reintegration of incarcerated persons with their families.

    Our vision is to build an inclusive society where families of incarcerated persons are embraced, thriving and empowered to be contributing members of society.


    RESPONSIBILITIES
    About the jobWe are looking for a dynamic centre manager who is able to manage and grow KIP to fulfill its vision of helping children and families of incarcerated parents

    Collaboration with Prisons:
    Maintain close working relationship with prison authorities to ensure all of the Kids in Play (KIP) continue and develop.
    Explore any future requirements that the KIP need to meet and develop new programmes accordingly.


    Community Integration:


    Maintain and build relationships with all relevant stakeholders (including any of the corps in Singapore) to ensure support for KIP and its clients.

    Provide avenues for networking with other community support groups where applicable.


    Communication & Training:
    Provide support to all staff and volunteers involved in KIP projects through planned and structured activities.

    Conduct in-house training and broker relevant external training and capability development initiatives to equip staff and volunteers with essential skills required in participating in KIP programmes.


    Fund Raising:
    Work closely with all funding parties to ensure continual financial support for KIP programmes.

    Develop other avenues of funding to maintain and develop KIP programmes where possible, including approaching institutional funders, monitoring and submission of applications to NCSS or other relevant agencies.

    Managerial & ProfessionalWorking with Executive Director/CYG and aligning to TSA and CYG directions, provide strategic planning at a macro level for all programmes for KIPManage and support your team so that they are able to give their best to the clientsManage reporting, submissions and any other administrative workAssumes the dual role of professional and spiritual leadership within the team and where appropriate, to demonstrate spiritual leadership in the community within the context of championing the cause of KIP.

    QUALIFICATIONSRelevant degree with at least 3 years of experience in managing programmes.
    Qualifications in Social Work and experience with the incarcerated or ex-incarcerated group is preferred.
