    Description
    Roles & Responsibilities

    in Wesley Methodist Church, covering communications-specific and ministry-administration processes. As an executive staff, this person is to manage, decide and authorise processes which conform to operating procedures. This person is also expected, as part of the communications team, to contribute to the content creation process of ministry projects.

    Job Responsibilities: -

    • Oversees – smooth operations of communications, accuracy, and timeliness of content.
    • Manages – administrative operations of the ministry such as budgets, compliance, stocking of consumables, inventories.
    • Plans – content schedule listings and productions/publication timelines for approval.
    • Co-ordinates – requests from MCOs to ensure deadlines are met and information to the congregation are co-ordinated.
    • Communicates – liaise and work with MCOs, staff teams and ministry partners on projects matters and follow-ups.
    • Provides – guidelines and counsel to MCOs, staff teams and ministry partners on platform requirements, Corporate Identity, copyrights (design resource) and statutory requirements (publication matters).
    • Evaluates – outcomes of platforms by maintaining the statistical analysis template of the respective platforms.
    • Document – processes and policy for continuity and improvements of operations.

    • Strong ministry-based approach to work.
    • Well-versed in communications (writing, reporting, aesthetics) skills and wide online platform knowledge.
    • Strong team player – ability to support and work across multiple team formats (communications ministry, ministry partners and various stakeholders.)
    • Creative thinking – constantly pushing for innovation and streamlined, effective solutions.
    • Clarity – of processes, guidelines, areas for compliance and organisational constraints.
    • People Person
    • Ability to work independently or in teams.
    • Ability to work on weekday evenings & weekends.
    • Physically able as scope requires mobility and physical movements of collaterals.

    Qualifications and Experience: -

    • Degree in Communications, Journalism or Marketing.
    • Primary Experience (min 5 years) – in communications-related scope and work settings.
    • Work Experience – with and withing large teams internally and externally.
