    Roles & Responsibilities

    Position Overview: "Logistics Manager, Omni United Co. Limited, Singapore"

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize our logistics operations at Omni United Co. Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating sea freight, inland transportation, and warehouse activities to ensure efficient and cost-effective supply chain processes. The role will be the key contact point and therefore has the main accountability for all logistics related matters in the organisation. This role requires a strong understanding of logistics, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities:

    1. Sea Freight Management:

    Plan, coordinate, and optimize sea freight operations across the regions mainly from China, South East Asia and India to key markets around the world like in USA, Europe , Middle East and Africa , Asia Pacific as outbound destinations

    Collaborate with existing shipping carriers, freight forwarders, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. Introduce and develop new carriers, freight forwarders.

    Monitor and analyse company's shipping routes, incoterms, rate trends both for short & long term, transit times , other key services and carrier performance to identify opportunities for cost and efficiency improvements.

    Accordingly design, align and implement appropriate ocean freight strategies with Monthly and Qtrly. Performance reviews to improve or modify strategy and execution where required.

    Obtain, analyse and use ocean freight market intelligence for optimum results.

    2. Inland Transportation:

    Oversee the planning and execution of inland transportation, including trucking and rail services.

    Develop and maintain strong relationships with transportation providers to ensure reliable and efficient services.

    Implement strategies to optimize transportation routes, reduce costs, and enhance overall efficiency.

    3. Warehouse Management:

    Oversee warehouse operations outside Singapore in collaboration with key stakeholders on the WH locations to ensure accurate and timely receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.

    Implement inventory control measures to minimize discrepancies and stockouts.

    Optimize warehouse layouts , workflows and manpower to enhance operational efficiency.

    4. Compliance and Documentation:

    Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and requirements for sea freight, inland transportation, and warehouse operations.

    Manage documentation processes related to customs, permits, and other regulatory requirements.

    Implement and maintain best practices to minimize the risk of compliance issues.

    Ensures the logistics/freight billing invoices are correctly validated.

    Supports Finance Teams on Freight-related settlement issues.

    5. Cost Management:

    Develop and implement cost-effective strategies for sea freight, transportation, and warehouse operations.

    Monitor and analyse logistics costs, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.

    Negotiate contracts with logistics service providers to achieve favourable terms and conditions.

    6. Team Leadership:

    Lead and motivate a diverse team of logistics professionals comprising of Logistics executives and co-ordinators. Close collaboration with Sales, Customer Service and Supply Chain planners and other related key stakeholders will be necessary part of this role

    Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

    Set KPI's, conduct regular performance reviews and training sessions to enhance team capabilities.

    Close communication and decision -making in complete alignment with key stakeholders including with Senior Leaders is key requirement for this role

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

    Proven experience in logistics management, with a focus on sea freight, inland transportation, and warehouse operations.

    Strong understanding of global logistics and supply chain dynamics covering key regions of USA , Europe , Middle East and Asia Pacific

    Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

    Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance requirements.

    Proficient in logistics software and tools.
