Our Client is a leading construction company who have expanded their business areas from marine to land civil engineering and building construction.
They are looking for an Assistant Crewing Manager (Japanese-speaking) to join the team- 【What you will be working on】
- Confirmation of conditions and preparation for the conclusion of a contract with the manning company supplying crew (Japanese and foreign).
- Planning of seafaring schedule considering Minimum Safe Manning and required number of personnel for operation maintenance, as well as provision of stipulated rest.
- Confirmation of payment to the manning company and remittance of salary to crew members.
- Handling complaints from crew members (such as unpaid wages, and improvement of onboard environment).
- Crew Embarkation and Disembarkation Procedures, arrangements for travel (flight, ferry, VISA).
- Preconfirmation of crewrelated documents.
- Arrange Emergency disembarkation procedures for sudden illness. *Depending on diagnosis results, arrangements for emergency repatriation and treatment after repatriation.
- Handling consultations with local ship's agents at various stages such as port entry and exit procedures, work permits, embarkation and disembarkation, emergencies, etc.
- Preinvestigation and acquisition procedures for licenses and permits required for ships and crew members engaged in construction work.
- Insurance Handling (Marine Accidents, Injuries), report to the insurance company in case of accidents.
- Subsequent arrangement of insurance surveyor.
- Understanding of damage costs, repair costs, negotiation and filing procedures for insurance claims.
- Response to spontaneously occurring issues.
We request you to understand the unique arrangements and procedures different from general merchant ships and carry out Vessel operations in the future.

Requirement:
- 【What they're looking for】
- Degree in business
- At least 5 years of working experience in a related field and industry
- Skilled in managing disputes with ship crew, crew staffing companies
- Possess knowledge of shipmanagement contracts and other relevant agreements
- Fluent in English and Japanese (JLPT N2 and above) Listening/Writing/Speaking is essential to liaise with Japan HQ members
- Positive working attitude and ability to work in a fastpaced environment
- Responsible and able to complete tasks given within the timeline
- Understand MOM regulations and procedures
- Leadership and people management experience
