    Our Singapore office is currently hiring a Cable Project Manager to join our Energy and Power Business.

    As a Cable Project Manager, you will be at the forefront of this collaborating with our esteemed client and acting as the vital conduit between leadership and stakeholders. With delegated authority you will be the driving force behind ensuring seamless delivery of the agreed scope of services, adhering to contractual conditions and industry best practices. Your role will be pivotal in leading a culture of collaboration, and setting the standard for a delivery-oriented project culture that encourages innovation and excellence. As a seasoned professional, you possess a wealth of experience in, you bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the table.

    In addition, you will:

    • Apply broad practical knowledge to cable installation (in tunnels) – including cable routing layouts, trench & trenchless section layouts, cable bonding & phasing, cable pulling, termination and jointing arrangements applied for Singapore projects
    • Clear knowledge of work procedures particularly Singapore Power projects, and ability to work independently.
    • Working in a team consisting of office and site-based personnel to deliver projects on time.
    • Attending meetings with project leads/Engineers
    • Preferably for the candidate to have an understanding of cable design (Concept to FEED level) of transmission & distribution systems especially in Singapore

    On a project level, the following responsibilities are required for this role:

    • Ability to carry out inter-disciplinary coordination and work effectively with leads to resolve any project issues.
    • Attend client meetings and management of Contractors.
    • Undertake the supervision, coordination, management and working with different contractors (minimum two or more parties, including main contractors, cable system OEMs and their sub-contractors etc.)
    • Able to directly liaise with clients in a confident manner, build deep client relationships, develop business, lead project pursuits, and add credibility in service offerings and delivery
    • Ability to technically develop teams and coach/mentor other engineers locally and remotely

    Qualifications - External

    • A minimum of 8 years of experience in cable installation/construction works.
    • Has an in-depth expertise in own job discipline and broad knowledge of other job disciplines within the Power industry
    • Good communication & IT skills.`A
    • Clear knowledge of work procedures particularly Singapore Power projects, and ability to work independently
    • Working in a team consisting of office and site-based personnel to deliver projects on time.
    • Attending meetings with project leads/Engineers.
    • Proficiency in MS Outlook, and MS Office (Excel, Word, Project and PowerPoint)
    • It is preferred for the candidate to have hands-on experience/working knowledge of CYMCAP software and perform cable sizing calculations based on international standards
    • Certified by Project Management Institute as Project Management Professional or open to completing course within 2 months of joining Jacobs.
    • Completed Ministry of Manpower Singapore Construction Safety Course for Project Managers (CSCPM) or open to completing the course within 2 months of joining Jacobs
