Assigned to Risk Management Department (RMD), Asia-Pacific Office, Non-financial Risk Team.

RMD Asia-Pacific Office, Non-financial Risk Team is responsible for non-financial risk management at MHBK and Mizuho Financial Group in Asia-Pacific region.

Job Responsibilities
1.

Establish, drive and enhance frameworks, policies and procedures for the identification, assessment, management and reporting of non-financial risk across APAC region.

Plan CSA in collaboration with HO, review the CSA results and follow up action plans to mitigate identified risks
Set and monitor KRIs, and support remediation plans when a KRI breaches
Establish and coordinate the regular reporting to the senior executives and regional non-financial risk committee regarding the state of non-financial risk in APAC region.
Capture and analyze operational risk events in APAC region, evaluate the effectiveness of mitigation actions, share lessons learned across the region, consider adding KRIs
Provide challenge to 1st LoD on their initiatives for non-financial risk management
Handle regulatory inspection and regulatory change related to non-financial risk management
Work with 1st LoD and liaise with HO to handle new non-financial risks
Provide overall leadership and management for the non-financial risk team and develop staff to bottom up team capability

Job Requirements
1. Bachelors' Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or related field.

At least 5-7 years of non-financial risk management within the banking or financial services industry, with a strong understanding of operational, compliance and reputational risk factors
Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements governing non-financial risk management, particularly in the context of Singaporean banking industry (ie: MAS guidelines)
Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically and provide innocative solutions to mitigate non-financial risks effectively
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
