Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description:

1. Infrastructure Management:

Oversee the selection, deployment, and maintenance of physical hardware compo-nents, including servers and storage.

Assist the asset manager in conducting regular inventory checks.

Leverage in-depth knowledge and experience with VMware and Hyper-V to design, de-ploy, and manage virtualized infrastructure environments.

2. Server Management:

Install, configure, and maintain server operation system.

In-stall and maintain essential system software, ensuring proper configuration and functionality, and facilitate user handover.

Monitor server performance and ensure system availability and reliability.

Perform regular system updates and security patches.

Devel-op and maintain server baseline configurations for various server types (physical, virtual) based on industry best practices and organizational requirements.

3. Backup and Recovery:

Implement and maintain backup solutions to safeguard data integrity.

Develop disaster recovery plans and perform regular testing.

4. Documentation:

Create and update system documentation, including configuration guides, standard op-eration procedure.

Maintain an inventory of hardware and software assets.

5. Vendor Management:

Collaborate with vendors to procure hardware, software, and services.

Evaluate and recommend technology solutions to meet business needs.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Proven experience as a System Administrator or similar role.

Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operation systems.

Effectively bilingual in English and Chinese so as to communicate effectively with our China counterpart and Chinese-speaking customers.

Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, MCSE, CCNA) a plus.
