**Service Advisor

Job Overview
UD Trucks is known for our pioneering technologies and products within the commercial automotive industry. This position is responsible for handling all customers' requests - call-in, walk-in, breakdown recovery and enquiries to deliver prompt and highest level of 7 customer commitments and satisfaction

Responsibilities and Duties

Attend to customers' feedback on truck faults
Conduct walkaround vehicle check as per checklist before accepting customer's vehicle.
Timely communications of additional job required, prepare quotation and obtain approval from customer
To check customer account status before job commencement.
Test drive trucks with drivers to assist in diagnose faults when necessary
Record truck faults and customers' feedback in the job card
Liaise with Workshop Supervisor/Team Leader/Technicians on repairs to be carried out
Liaise with parts department on parts prices and delivery
Update vehicle status to internal & external customers and generate invoice for customers
Update of check list and explain to customer details of the job carried out on the vehicle and provide necessary documents to customer to ensure prompt closing of work orders
Promote services, packages, repairs and accessories to achieve company goals
Ensure technical campaigns are carried out accordingly
Carry out quality checks before hand over the vehicle to customer

Oversee Service Planner

Prepare service planning and communicated to respective customers
Sending reminders to ensure the planning is adhered as per schedule
Provide update to member on workshop performance achievement
Fully accountable for preplanned activities to ensure workshop & service bookings are filled
Maintain consistent communications with customers to minimize missed service booking
Fully responsible for VOSP updating to ensure 100% conversion within Planner / VOSP / LDS
Ensure proper and timely update of customers' details within the system for seamless flow of information between systems
Ensure 100% conversion of service bookings intake / day & followup promptly with noshows

Oversee Recovery Team

Organise breakdown team job scheduling & arrangement to ensure high efficiency
Be the main liaison person between Breakdown Team and Customer for breakdown activities
Ensure all breakdown jobs are properly charged accordingly
Ensure continuity in breakdown service level to customers
Fully accountable of the breakdown team performance, productivity even distribution of jobs
Monitor and manage recovery team resources to ensure OT not exceeding 72 hrs / month
Any other duties assigned by your immediate superior

Minimum qualifications

NITEC IN Automotive or former NTC 2 in Motor Vehicle Mechanics/Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics
Preferably with 3 to 5 years of working experience handling front line service in automotive maintenance.
Well spoken, proactive, committed and ability to work independently
Proven track record on generating parts and labour sales in Automotive industry
Able to carry out accident claim quotations and liaise with Insurance companies
Good interpersonal skills with passion to work with people
Good technical and troubleshooting knowledge in Automotive Heavy and medium duty trucks
