Description

Planning for individual patients using the nursing process approach consisting of Assessment, Planning, Implementation and Evaluation in the Closed Monitoring Unit (CMU).

On admission, all necessary preprocedure checks will be done on the patient.
To prepare the patient for the procedure by serving all necessary premedications and monitor the patient closely after a procedure in the CMU and notify the cardiologist/attending doctor of any abnormalities.
To assist in procedures and prepare the various instrument trolleys required in various interventional procedures.
To respond and manage emergency situations in an efficient and calm manner, e.g., in Code Blue.
Provide orientation and supervision to junior nurses or trainees
Assist Doctors with the provision of treatment and patient examinations
Provide assistance to the Clinic Manager in ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic
Demonstrate competency in clinical nursing skills and knowledge such as performing IV cannulation, venipuncture for blood sampling, IV administration of medical fluids, ECG monitoring and interpretation.
