    Description
    Roles & Responsibilities

    Responsible to initiate, lead and perform defined quality activities to ensure product performance and integrity. Act as Customer representative, providing voice of customer to operations, aligning manufacturing requirements to customers' needs and expectations, leading to improved customer satisfaction.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Comply with all Corporate/Plant/Departmental Environmental, Health & Safety rules/policies/procedures while performing this job whether on 3M Property
    • Support Laboratory Supervisor to train and develop the team of Quality Lab Technologists/ Assistants to continually improve the technical competency of Quality Lab Technologists / Assistants.
    • Work closely with business subsidiaries and customers to align manufacturing requirements with their needs and expectations.
    • Act as Customer representative, attend to customer enquiries / feedback, assist in customer visit, coordinate, and lead the team in customer audits.
    • Technical interface between the Technical Service and Process team, and discuss customer specification with Division, Technical Service and Subsidiaries.
    • Lead in the resolution of customer complaint / quality issues, provide voice of customers to operations and translate customer's feedback into innovative solutions.
    • Provide customer interface on major qualification; participation in manufacturing changes
    • Participate in Product Qualification activities and establish the system, procedures, specification to ensure product quality meets the specified requirements.
    • Lead in the resolution of product quality problems as well as manufacturing quality improvement projects
    • Provide training or communicate customer requirements, product quality requirements / changes to all affected parties.
    • Provide and maintain internal product related documentation, (includes work instructions, forms, product standards / specification, and customer specifications).
    • Participate in internal audits to ensure the effective implementation of Quality Management System.
    • Initiate and Drive improvement projects
    • Act as facilitator and Internal Auditor to ensure Intellectual Property requirements are maintained and in compliance.

    Position Requirements:

    • Minimum BS in Chemical Engineering or in other engineering field
    • Preferably, with 3 years of working experience in Quality Assurance in a manufacturing industry
    • Proactive and assertive attitude. Willingness to be highly visible and accountable
    • Ability to interface effectively with many internal and external groups
    • Communication skills must be good, both written and oral. These must be exercised continually with the customer and with many other 3M groups
    • Well organized and capable of self-management of projects
    • High degree of computer literacy
