Job Purpose:


You shall be responsible for assessing and identifying individual needs of students &/or trainees with occupational therapy issues and concerns.

You will also formulate, develop and customise appropriate occupational therapy programs for the students &/or trainees.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Carry out assessments in relation to occupational needs of the students and document reports
  • Formulate and facilitate intervention for students in the area of motor and processing skills
  • Evaluate therapy progress and outcomes with the use of selected therapy outcome measures at regular intervals (every 6 months).
  • Conduct Vocational Profiling Assessment for students to match their skills and interests to the appropriate vocational track
  • Conduct Community Partner Workshops such as Employers Education to create awareness for employers who are working and supporting persons with ASD and Mild Intellectual Disability (MID)
  • Planning and facilitate group programs
  • Conduct work site assessment to determine suitability for placement of students
  • Conduct work place site visits to support students on OST (On-Site Training) and WEP (Work Experience Program)
  • Provide Supervision and mentorship of OTA /OT Student Intern/ Conditional Registered OT
  • Administrative Duties:
  • Digitization of OT reports
  • Documentation of clinical duties

Job Requirements:


  • Degree in Occupational Therapy or its equivalent (preferably recognised by the Allied Health Professional Council)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment and motivation to work with young person with special needs and their caregivers.
  • Good team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Relevant work experience with children and young adults with intellectual disability would be an advantage
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
