Backend Specialist

Responsibilities:

Analysis and develop business rules of Group Insurance processes.
Analysis and develop the impact of any change for existing processes resulted from external or internal requirement.
Collaborate with the Group EB squad teams to deliver the user stories/platform enhancements.
Technical development of existing programs, analysing, and identifying areas for modification when require, taking into consideration of building security, performance, monitoring and nonfunctional requirements within solution.
Technical & Functional testing
Confirm that any changes to the Platform are compliant with company's coding standards, or deviations are agreed with the relevant governance authorities
Propose innovative solutions or alternative approaches.
Proactive improvements to operational processes within the platform to meet customer expectations and drive efficiency
Depending on the nature of the specific role, problems can range from repetitive daily issues to complex technical problems requiring significant expertise
Escalate problems according to guidelines
Understand and proactively involve in programs related to Tech Upgrade, Platform Automation and Cloud Migration program.
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations relating to the above functional activities.

Experience

Minimum 5 year's experience in software development and still actively coding on daily basis.
Proficient in J2EE, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA, microservices, REST APIs, XML, JavaScript, CSS, SQL, Oracle PL/SQL.
Good knowledge in Struts / Angular / AngularJS is a plus.
Exposure to Cloud environment or CI/CD pipeline is a plus.
Solid understanding of the benefits of the various design patterns and objectoriented programming.
Have technical understanding of common security vulnerabilities and risks, as well as countermeasures and compensating controls
Prior working experience on agile or hybrid environment.
Has Finance or Insurance domain knowledge is a plus.
