Responsibilities:


  • Supervise and ensure smooth operations for direct reporting teams (procurement, contract, supply chain, and shipping documentation)
  • Manage import/export system of company (primarily consisting of dry bulk commodities) by supervising supply chain team and shipping documentation team and troubleshooting issues
  • Liaison with different department/associate companies/third parties to ensure orderly and effective shipment fulfilment
  • Able to review and negotiate contract terms where needed, to ensure internal requirements are met
  • Supervise procurement process and ensure overall costeffectiveness, mediate and resolve nonconformance claims
  • Maintain effective procurement system by constantly reviewing tender process, reviewing existing vendors and qualifying new vendors
  • Reporting regularly and undertake ad hoc assignments from senior management and/or Singapore head office

Requirements:


  • Degree in relevant discipline, demonstrated academic achievements;
  • Experience in dry bulk commodities an added advantage;
  • Analytical and strong logical thinker, results oriented;
  • Selfdriven team player, a good listener and good communicator;
  • Systematic and organized, able to thrive under pressure and situational ambiguity;
  • Strong communication skills with ability to drive the team positively
  • Excellent written and spoken communication in English and Chinese to liaise with counterparts;
  • Adhoc traveling as and when required.
