Position Summary:

The Lab Analyst is a member of the Singapore Plant Laboratory Team, reporting to the Laboratory Leader.

This role will provide technical support in areas such as new equipment commissioning, equipment troubleshooting, calibration/maintenance of instruments, inventory management and enhancing lab safety.


Key interfaces will include the Singapore Plant Laboratory, Technical, Operations, Procurement, 3rd party service providers, MFT Analytical, plus Infineum colleagues performing similar roles in other regions.

What we can expect from you:


  • Assist the Laboratory Leader in managing all lab management activities to ensure operational readiness.
  • Coordinate workflow and laboratory activities according to testing plans or company needs.
  • Manage laboratory instrument and assets, including maintenance/calibration scheduling, troubleshooting, arranging for service and repair, or disposal.
  • Maintain the inventory records of chemicals and laboratory supplies accurately and promptly.
  • Coordinate with Procurement Team to raise purchase orders, monitor orders, receive goods, in a timely manner and in compliance with the company's procurement policy.
  • Assist the Laboratory Leader in instrument and test method qualifications. Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and prepare training materials.
  • Conduct OntheJob (OJT) training for new hires.
  • Prepare the Laboratory and take part in quality and safety system audits, licensing, and accreditation.
  • Support compliance to IQP 3.3 and the ITM 70XXX series.
  • Maintain the SAP QM module and help to resolve QM related issues encountered by the lab/plant logistic/3rd party warehouse/customers.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

This will develop your skills in planning and analytical troubleshooting.

  • Diploma in Applied Chemistry or similar discipline
  • Handson lab equipment experience in Petrochemical, Chemicals or Analytical Labs are preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Good in Documentation skills
  • A team player with good communication skills.
  • Good computer competency & literacy skills in Microsoft Excel, Word & PowerPoint & SAP
