Job Descriptions:


  • Procure, source, and purchase vessels' spare parts, supplies, and services, including preparing relevant purchase orders and job orders to ensure proper supply for vessels.
  • Compare prices, specifications, and delivery dates to assist Superintendents in determining the best offer among potential suppliers.
  • Verify suppliers' invoices against quotations and track vessels' total expenditure against approved budgets. Resolve any discrepancies with suppliers.
  • Monitor vessels' movements, liaise with suppliers, masters, and agents to ensure timely delivery of supplies on board.
  • Maintain accurate records of all purchased stores and spares for vessels, including followup and filing.
  • Actively follow up on vessels' defect reports, arrange thirdparty service vendors, and manage docking issues.
  • Coordinate closely with Technical Superintendents and shipboard officers on various technical matters.
  • Maintain and update vessels' technical certificates and arrange renewals as required.
  • Perform any adhoc duties assigned by Technical Superintendents or Technical Manager.

Job Requirements:


  • Diploma holders with 23 years of purchasing experience, preferably in the Shipping industry.
  • Familiarity with vessel records and certificates.
  • Meticulous, IT savvy, good team player, and able to communicate effectively.
  • Selfmotivated and capable of working independently with mínimal supervision.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Pay:
$3, $3,700.00 per month


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekend availability
