- Program Management: Oversee all aspects of the competitive gymnastics program, including training schedules, competitions, and athlete development plans.
- Coach Leadership: Provide guidance and support to coaches within the competitive program, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary resources and training to effectively nurture gymnastic talent.
- Talent Identification and Recruitment: Develop strategies for identifying and recruiting talented gymnasts, who have the potential to excel in competitive gymnastics and secure scholarships.
- Athlete Development: Design and implement individualized development plans for gymnasts within the program, focusing on skill acquisition, physical conditioning, and mental preparation.
- Competition Preparation: Coordinate with coaches and athletes to prepare for competitions, including organizing mock competitions, travel arrangements, and logistical support.
- Collaboration with National Bodies: Establish and maintain strong relationships with national gymnastics associations and governing bodies to ensure alignment with national team selection criteria and opportunities for our gymnasts.
- Community Engagement: Act as an ambassador for The Yard Singapore within the gymnastics community, participating in events, workshops, and outreach programs to promote the club and its competitive program.
- Budget Management: Work closely with management to develop and manage the budget for the competitive gymnastics program, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support the program's goals.
- Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in coaching and/or managing competitive gymnastics programs.
- Proven track record of developing gymnasts who have achieved scholarships or national team participation is desirable.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire athletes and coaching staff.
- In-depth knowledge of gymnastics training techniques, competition regulations, and athlete development principles.
- Familiarity with national and international gymnastics organizations and governing bodies.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate training and competition schedules.
