What the role is

You play an important role in the implementation and maintenance of Systems for one of the Home Team Department (e.g. Singapore Police Force, Singapore Civil Defence Force, Singapore Prison Service, Immigration & Checkpoints Authority, etc.), ensuring their operational readiness at all times.

What you will be working on

Lead, manage and drive projects to ensure Systems' compliance to ICT security policies.
Oversee a team to manage the internal and external auditors on ICT systems, including audit risk assessment, planning, fieldwork and reporting.
Assess the compliance of the ICT systems with prevailing statutory and government ICT security policies, and to provide assurance over the ICT internal control environment and governance processes.
Supervise a team in performing followup verifications on past audit recommendations.
Manage and implement ICT security measures as prescribed under government policies.
Implement and maintain ICT security and monitoring tools as required.
Identify, evaluate and recommend technical solutions that are cost effective and meet requirements, for the above.
Procure the identified solutions by putting up budget papers and technical specifications.
Plan and manage the progress and budget of projects and resolve arising issues to ensure timely completion of the projects as scheduled.

What we are looking for

Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical and Electronics Engineering or its equivalent.
Five (5) years or more of relevant work experience, preferably in ICT Operational Systems.
Wellversed in ICT auditing, cybersecurity technologies and ICT security controls. Having a CISA, CISSP, CRISC, ISO/IEC 27001 or related certificates will be an added advantage.
Experiences in Security Information and Event Management, vulnerability assessment and penetration testing and cloud security.
Preferably possess crisis leadership and project management skills.
Possess strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
Ability to multitask and manage various Systems/projects simultaneously.
Possess good written, presentation and communication skills.

All new hires are appointed on a two-year contract in the first instance and will be assessed and considered for permanent tenure over time, based on performance.
