In this 12-month contract role, the Senior Analyst acts as a strategic finance advisor and business partner for the firm's Thailand Office.

The role reports to the Senior Manager, Finance and is responsible for the financial operations of the Thailand business covering all operations and compliance.

CORE CAPABILITIES & CRITERIA

  • Experience working in a multigeography context, ideally across ASEAN; with sufficient exposure/understanding of multicurrencies and Thailand payroll & tax laws.
  • Strong core technical and analytical capabilities is a given: ability to understand and independently manage aspects of financial planning, analysis, reporting, accounting, payroll, audit and compliance; committed to achieving a high quality of work according to agreed timelines.
  • Strong fluency in English, both verbal and written. Driven and proactive individual with strong interpersonal and effective communication skills (verbal and written); ability to build strong working relationships and trust in a very hightouch, customer serviceoriented organization
  • Strong team work and delivery; ability to work with the team supporting them to manage multiple priorities and deliver zerodefect work in accordance to required timelines
  • Strong system skills including proficiency in Excel, accounting and financial reporting software essential
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Senior Analyst is expected to work closely with various stakeholders (i.e.
Global/Regional finance counterparts, Legal, HR, SE Asia department managers):

Financial Accounting, Compliance & Payroll (about 70% to 80% of time as a rough estimate)

Key point of contact for Thailand, handling full sets of accounts with the external service provider

  • Have a deep understanding of the Thailand payroll operations, tax implications and to undertake entire payroll operations alongside the external payroll provider (e.g. regulatory requirements, transfer payroll, tax equalisation, treaty exemptions etc.)
  • Preparation of reports to ensure local entities comply with all local regulatory authorities and corporate policies (e.g. annual tax return, VAT, payroll reporting, external financial and tax audit etc.) and arranging for tax forms and other government forms to be signed off
  • Understanding of the firm's accounting policies and process to effectively support the monthly and yearend closing activities (financial and management aspects) of the entire team, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of submissions.
  • Establish strong business relationships with the firm's bank, external/internal tax and audit advisors
  • Support the team in adhoc queries, projects and other business initiatives
  • Pipeline, Pricing & Revenue Management (about 20% to 30% of the time as a rough estimate)
  • Support the SE Asia AR team in the review of pricing and commercial terms (e.g. supporting requests for proposals, MSAs, pricing negotiations, case team pricing and letter of engagement development)
  • Ensure timely pipeline management and proper recognition of revenue and timely, accurate revenue reporting
  • Assist case management with pricing and C: R questions, engaging regularly with the staffing team
  • Prepare invoices, ensure accurate recording and manage collections, work closely with client contacts on invoice, collections, preparation of tax forms, cheque deposits. Provide support for RFPs (request for proposals)
  • Work closely with other offices on revenue transfers
  • Support the team in regular & adhoc business reporting (e.g. tracking of metrics and preparation of PMG decks)
  • Adhoc support for the annual budgeting and planning process

QUALIFICATIONS/CAPABILITIES:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and either CPA/CA qualification/audit experience is preferred:

Minimum of 6-9 years of post-qualification experience in accounting, month end close, GL accounting, and some payroll accounting experience gained with MNCs
