Description

A coffee machine technician is a skilled professional responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of coffee machines used in various settings such as cafes, restaurants, offices, and hotels.

Their primary role is to ensure that coffee machines are in proper working condition to deliver high-quality coffee beverages.


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Installation: Installing new coffee machines according to manufacturer's guidelines and customer requirements. This involves assembling components, connecting water and power supplies, and ensuring proper machine functionality.
  • Maintenance: Conducting regular maintenance and preventive inspections of coffee machines to ensure optimal performance and extend their lifespan. This includes cleaning, descaling, and replacing wornout or malfunctioning parts as needed.
  • Troubleshooting: Identifying and diagnosing issues with coffee machines by analyzing error codes, performing tests, and conducting visual inspections. Technicians must have a good understanding of the machine's mechanics and electrical components to accurately pinpoint problems.
  • Repair: Repairing coffee machines by replacing faulty components, such as heating elements, pumps, valves, or control boards. Technicians may also need to adjust settings, calibrate equipment, or reprogram machines to restore functionality.
  • Customer Service: Interacting with customers, including café owners, managers, or staff, to address their coffee machinerelated concerns, answer questions, and provide guidance on machine operation, maintenance, or troubleshooting procedures.
  • Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of service visits, repairs performed, parts replaced, and any additional recommendations for customers. This information helps track machine history, monitor trends in issues, and facilitate efficient service management.
  • Training and Support: Conducting training sessions or workshops for coffee shop staff or clients to educate them on basic machine operation, routine maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques. Technicians may also provide remote or onsite support to address customer inquiries or resolve technical issues.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhering to safety protocols, industry standards, and local regulations while working with electrical equipment and ensuring that coffee machines are safe for use.


To excel as a coffee machine technician, one should possess a strong knowledge of coffee machine mechanics, electrical systems, plumbing, and troubleshooting techniques.

They should be detail-oriented, have excellent problem-solving skills, and be able to work independently or as part of a team.

Good communication and customer service skills are also crucial for interacting effectively with clients.

Training will be provided. Motorcycle and/or driving license preferred, but not necessary.
