Job Purpose:


As a Sales Merchandiser, you play a crucial role in optimizing product placement, enhancing visual appeal, and ensuring accurate pricing and labelling at retail outlets.

Your responsibilities encompass a range of tasks designed to promote our houseware product line, including executing promotional events and setups at various retail locations such as supermarkets, grocery stores, and other retail establishments.


Duties and responsibilities

Visual Merchandising: Create visually appealing product displays that captivate customers and drive sales. This involves strategically positioning products, ensuring accurate pricing, and maintaining attractive shelf arrangements.

Promotional Events: Execute promotional events with efficiency and precision, including setting up displays and promotional materials in supermarkets, grocery outlets, and retail stores. You will also be responsible for dismantling these setups when necessary.

Stock Management: Regularly visit different stores to restock our products and remove any outdated or damaged items. Keep inventory levels well-maintained, especially for core SKUs, in accordance with market share or planograms. Additionally, manage secondary display locations, including promotional areas and event spaces.

Customer Engagement: Establish and nurture positive relationships with store personnel, including outlet supervisors and team leaders. Provide excellent customer service and ensure that our DESSCO product range receives orders consistently.

Coordination: Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, such as Account Executives and Customer Service teams, to coordinate product replenishment and delivery.

Stock Quality: Implement the FIFO (First-In, First-Out) system to ensure product freshness and regularly inspect inventory for damaged items to minimize returns. Keep a keen eye on product performance, store conditions, and competitor activities, providing valuable feedback to Account Executives.

Distribution Audit: Support the Management Team in conducting distribution audits to assess the effectiveness of merchandising strategies and stock management.

Flexible / Permanent Part-time Role: Working from 11am - 4 pm, Monday to Friday (Five-day week) with reimbursement of transportation allowance.


Qualifications

  • Min. GCE 'N' Level / GCE 'O' Level /NITEC

Requirements:


  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience working in related field.
  • Physically fit and energtic.
  • Organized, driven, self motivated and selfdisciplined.
  • A positive attitude towards work.
  • Meticulous, able to follow instructions properly and work independently.
  • The ability to foster teamwork and collaborate effectively with retail outlet employees.
  • Able to converse and read basic English and Chinese.

Criteria for Performance Evaluation

  • Execution of merchandising at point of purchase and shelve management services.
  • Jointly teamwork in meeting Sales Targets.
  • Degree of fulfilling duties and responsibilities.
  • Support extended to the account executive and other Sales & Marketing teams.
