Job Scope

• Perform full spectrum of accounting functions (including but not limited to month-end closing activities, maintaining accurate journal entries and monthly reconciliation, GST submissions, stock-take, etc.
• Ensure compliance in accounting standards, statutory filing requirements and reporting in line with the company's policies and procedures
• Responsible for accurate and timely submission of financial and management reporting according to schedule determined by the management.
• Being well-versed in the operational process of trade financing business and understanding the nature of bulk commodity transactions.
• Assist to prepare the financial budget ad financial analysis and interpretation of financial data.
• Assist to prepare for the yearly audited report and ensure tax returns are submitted on a timely basis.
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Review, propose and monitor operations systems and controls.
• Perform any additional ad hoc assignments as & when required.

Job Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Accountancy or Finance.
• 5 years of relevant working experience with prior audit experience is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and IAS.
• Proficiency in understanding and application of relevant accounting standards to hedging solutions within precious metals, commodities or other derivatives contracts.
• Possess good organizational, administrative skills and time-management abilities.
• Preferably able to start work immediately.
