    Job Title: Purchasing Executive

    Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Purchasing Executive to join our team. The Purchasing Executive will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, products, and services essential for our organisation's operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong negotiation abilities, and a keen eye for detail to ensure that all purchases meet quality standards while adhering to budgetary constraints.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Identify and evaluate suppliers/vendors based on quality, price, reliability, and delivery speed.
    • Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to obtain the most favourable terms for the organization.
    • Maintain relationships with existing suppliers while continuously seeking new opportunities for cost savings and improved quality.
    • Monitor and analyse market trends, pricing, and product availability to anticipate potential shortages or cost increases.
    • Collaborate with various departments to understand their purchasing needs and develop strategies to meet them effectively.
    • Prepare and maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels using procurement software or databases.
    • Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely delivery of purchased items and resolve any issues that may arise.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements throughout the procurement process.
    • Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of purchasing operations.
    • Submit monthly marine insurance coverage to Insurance company.
    • Assist in ISO annual performance review for vendors.

    Qualifications:

    • Diploma in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. (Preferred)
    • Proven experience as a Purchasing Executive, Purchasing Officer, or similar role in a relevant industry.
    • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build and maintain successful vendor relationships.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify cost-saving opportunities and resolve purchasing-related issues.
    • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing to a team environment.
    • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in all aspects of purchasing activities.
    • Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and compliance standards governing procurement practices.
