    Job Description:

    Job Summary:

    The UPS Healthcare Director of Sales formulates account sales strategies to meet enterprise business plans and maintain consistency across the marketplace. This position promotes internal relationships to provide sales support, improve communications, and provide customer connectivity. He/She oversees the quarterly Target Account Programs (TAP) to ensure revenue plans are equitable and to leverage potential business opportunities. This position manages others within the department.

    Job Duties:

    Manages Internal Relationships

    • Participates in conference calls with Small Package, Healthcare Logistics and Distribution (HLD), UPS Freight, and UPS Capital to exchange information and ensure successful implementation of sales strategies.
    • Meets with Major Accounts and Strategic Accounts organizations to review account initiatives and revenue opportunities.
    • Interfaces with Solutions Directors and Revenue Management to provide support for sales and to approve rates.
    • Participates in operational meetings to provide sales updates and progress toward business plan goals.
    • Participates in Division Manager meetings to improve communications and promote customer connectivity.

    Manages the Business Plan

    • Formulates account sales strategies to meet enterprise business plans and maintain consistency across the marketplace.
    • Conducts monthly reviews of target accounts to recognize successes and identify areas of improvement.
    • Reviews sales funnels to monitor business opportunities identified by Account Executives (AEs).
    • Participates in sales calls with most help needed personnel to reinforce sales techniques, review action plans, and improve performance and results.
    • Participates in joint customer sales visits to provide management presence, influence, and experience for securing new business.

    Oversees TAP

    • Oversees the quarterly TAP roll-out to ensure AEs have the proper number of target accounts for optimal revenue generation.
    • Conducts quarterly account reviews to identify success and areas of opportunity.
    • Reviews account strategies to drive business results.
    • Participates in joint service calls with AEs to leverage potential business opportunities.

    Leads and Develops Others

    • Manages resources and people processes (e.g., Performance Management, Career Development, Succession Planning, Salary Administration, Training, Staffing, etc.) to ensure the day-to-day administration of processes and formal procedures.
    • Identifies individual and team skill gaps and developmental opportunities (e.g., training, special assignments, projects, etc.) to facilitate individual and team development.
    • Ensures that direct and indirect reports have specific, documented career goals and detailed plans for achieving these goals to advance the development of their personal and professional growth.
    • Conducts frequent performance evaluations in a consistent, fair, and objective manner to facilitate open communication and encourage continuous performance improvement.
    • Holds others accountable to established performance levels to achieve individual and group goals and maintain consistent practices across the organization.
    • Resolves individual and group performance issues in accordance with UPS's policies and procedures in a timely manner to motivate and foster teamwork.
    • Coaches others and provides on-going feedback and support to improve performance as they take on greater responsibilities.
    • Identifies opportunities to involve others in new and challenging work assignments that advance the skills and capabilities of individuals and organizations.
    • Recommends employees for lateral rotations and promotions to provide them with opportunities to develop new skills and take on more responsibility.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or relevant discipline. Master's degree will be a plus
    • At least 10 years of experience in Healthcare Sales, with managerial responsibilities
    • Candidates should possess a minimum of 10 years of direct experience in managing people
    • Deep understanding of healthcare industry trends and regulations.
    • Demonstrated strength in sales and leadership.
    • Analytical ability to drive sales growth and strategic thinking.
    • Good Communication Skills and Interpersonal Skills
    • Good written & spoken English and Mandarin. Other languages will be a plus.
