Summary of the Role
The position involves delivering software that has immediate, tangible results visible in the manufacturing of highly configurable WFE systems. The engineer shall understand business needs clearly from cross-functional teams in order to define holistic software requirements. He/she will be required to use his/her experience and judgment to provide user-friendly software engineering solutions. The engineer will work independently or as a team member on software development efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Define software specifications and designs a variety of software projects.
Develops code and documentation for a variety of software projects, troubleshooting and implement bug fixes.
Interfaces with internal customers for requirements analysis, schedule, deployment and implementation.
Investigate inquiries, questions, feedbacks and issue reports from internal customers. Offer problem analysis, solutions, or alternatives as a result of these investigations.
Troubleshoots a variety of software problems. Performs software tests on code and enhancements.
Design data scheme and setup the database that software interacts with, as well as implement access control from both logic and data layer.
Collaborate with IT department and Digitalization team when needed in various software projects.
Assist the Test Automation team in software development and setup as needed.
Compiles data for regularly scheduled or special reports, analysis and statements.

Job Requirements

Minimum BS Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or relevant disciplines
Minimum 3 years of experience developing software using one of : VBA, C++,.NET, C# or Python
Experience in MS Access, SQL and various database design and development
Handson experience in programming tools such as Visual Studio, VS Code, etc
Able to interpret software codes, understand functionality implemented and translate into another module of software in different language or platform
Experience in Data Comm, Device Control and Automation using TCP/IP, ECAT, DNET and Serial
Experience in development on MS PowerApps, Power Automation, SharePoint or Dataverse
Excellent communication skills to discuss with engineering groups to determine the true software requirements
Fluent English speaking and writing skills
