Job Scope:


  • Manage the procurement processes, which include submitting relevant papers for approval (e.g. waiver of competition, TAC, etc), approving purchase requisitions in the electronic CER/PR system and payment requests to vendors/service providers, resolving issues with payment for goods and services, and monitoring operational costs.
  • Liaise with internal and external parties (lab supervisors, ALPS, Finance, vendors, Synapxe, etc) to resolve any issues
  • Assist in the strategic planning and forecasting of requirements, and effective utilization of resources (e.g. equipment, premises, manpower, capital and operational budgets, shortterm projects, etc)
  • Assist in the efforts to initiate and seek support and approval for utilization of approved capital budgets.
  • Monitors the plans to develop and focus the resources of the Service.

Job Requirements:


  • Preferably Bachelor's Degree and above in Laboratory Medicine, Biomedical Sciences, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Medical Technology, Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or any other equivalent qualification.
  • Preferably with relevant experience in laboratory procurement and project management, as well as working experience in a clinical diagnostic laboratory for at least 10 years
  • Exhibits high adaptability with an open mind and be receptive in learning new skill sets and performing new tasks.
  • Possesses good organisation, coordination, communication, and computer skills.
  • Good team player and no issue in liaising with internal and external parties.
  • Works regular hours; however, coverage after hours and on weekends and public holidays may be required to meet the needs of the department and hospital.
