Job Overview
Ensure the safety priority culture implemented in out company, and to establish and maintain safe and healthy working environment.
- Develop OHSE initiatives and its related activities are implemented thoroughly within the Company.
- Lead, develop and review OHSE procedure such as working instruction to ensure OHSE Management is in continuous improvement which will contribute to the company's business growth.
- Lead and drives team to consistently improve employees' behaviour, safety rules and healthy/safe environment to ensure the daily operations and activities are in compliance with the local government and Amcor's OHSE guidelines and related regulations.
Principal Accountabilities
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of EHS programs, aligned with Amcor EHS standards to ensure the company maintain a safe working environment.
- Plans, develops, establish, and implement and review plant's safety policies, safety procedures, safety work instructions and safety programs.
- Plan, develop, deliver, and coordinate effective EHS training to coworkers, temporary workers, contractors, and visitors, as necessary, to satisfy regulatory and company EHS requirements and assure proper EHS awareness.
- To ensure incidents are reported in a timely manner, investigations are conducted properly, root causes are identified, and corrective actions are tracked to closure.
- To collect, analyse and maintain statistic and records of workplace injuries, illness, dangerous occurrences, near misses.
- Ensure a proper injury prevention plan exists to continuously improve safety performance. (New)
- Foster a proactive and positive plant safety culture.
- Conduct and/ or coordinate EHS inspections, EHS Audits and selfassessments to assure compliance with Amcor EHS Standards and regulatory requirement.
- Advise and coordinate to ensure necessary EHS related monitoring activities (noise, chemicals, etc.) are performed accordance with regulatory and company EHS requirements.
- Prepare and update the progress of injury prevention plans, EHS data and report according to schedule.
- Work with engineering team to design, install and maintain new or modified equipment/ processes as necessary to ensure EHS risk are well managed.
- Conduct risk assessment with plant team and enforce preventative measures.
- To become secretary of Workplace Safety and Health committee and perform all functions of a secretary as specified in regulatory.
- Implement and monitor safe management best practice.
- Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy.
- Oversee pest control in the plant.
- To carry out any other instruction made by the employer on any matters pertaining to EHS or any other duties.
