The teams are always looking to acquire business opportunities to drive Shopee to be the No. 1 e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia and Taiwan.

The aim of the Business Development and Partnership teams is to provide Shopee's buyers with a wide variety of product listings at the best prices.


About the Team:


  • Retail Acquisition team is in charge of identifying current product offering gaps and customer needs, acquiring new suppliers and incubating new business models within SG retail team to drive the top line growth of retail business. This role offers a great opportunity to aspiring retail talents to put data analytics skill and critical thinking into daily work, and hone the communication and negotiation skills with external stakeholders.

This role reports to the Retail Acquisition team lead and works closely with the RM and Supplier Management team in SBS.

- Source, reach out, negotiate and form partnerships with local suppliers and brands to onboard Shopee Supermarket

  • Build effective internal processes and downstream flows for incoming suppliers to ensure smooth operation and maximum performance growth
  • Work closely with stakeholders, such as legal, operations, supplier / relationship management teams, to ensure successful onboarding of suppliers and brands
  • Reach out and negotiate with key brands to partner SCommerce via various retail service offerings
  • Monitor market / customer trends in Singapore to identify suitable assortment strategies for Shopee Supermarket
  • Perform regular online / offline competitor analysis to identify key assortment gaps
  • Lead initiatives that drives innovation and impact in new business areas

Requirements:


  • Interest in sourcing, buying, negotiating and forming partnerships with suppliers and brands
  • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Motivated and have the ability to perform in a fastpaced and growthcharged environment
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel
  • Track record of consistently meeting and exceeding KPIs
