SUMMARY:

Our client is expanding its presence in Singapore and we are recruiting an experienced Bunker Trader. You are to locate customers, negotiating, fixing and closing the deals.

Be responsible for facilitating the buying and selling of marine fuels (bunker fuels) to clients in the shipping industry on a back-to-back basis.

THE ROLE:

Responsible for the trading P&L and performance of marine fuels and trading services.
Source, negotiate, and secure bunker fuel deals while managing risk effectively.
Establish and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and industry stakeholders.
Grow and build a strong client portfolio.
Conduct thorough market analysis and bunker pricing trends, to generate precise forecasts aimed at optimizing profitability.
Work closely with agents at the various ports for the delivery of bunkers to the vessels
Manage all pre
- and post-fixture documentation, payments and settlement of claims and disputes.
Collaborate closely with the Trading Director and Trade Support to ensure seamless execution of bunker fuel deliveries.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor' Degree with 5-10 years of relevant experience as a Bunker Trader, with a track record of successful trading in marine fuels.

Strong network of industry contacts and relationships is essential.
In-depth knowledge of the bunker fuel market, pricing, and industry regulations.
Understanding the shipping, trading, commodity markets including hedging /price risk management
Deep understanding of global shipping market, bunker practices, operating standards and global supply options
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Analytical and strategic thinking to make informed trading decisions.
Results-oriented and a self-driven individual.
