We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a
Product Specialist (Brokerage and Trading).

Principal responsibilities

  • Design the Brokerage and Trading Strategy across WPB. Create a distinctive selfdirected investing brand proposition with a clear vision positioning HSBC as the market leader
  • Create customer centric growth strategies, in line with HSBC's broader Capital Markets business
  • Play a significant role in the Capital Markets business, particularly selfdirected securities trading which includes use case development, user journey mapping, commercial KPI definition, positioning, naming, partnerships, product links etc., as well as the key enablers that underpin its delivery
  • Continually iterate and develop the future state of HSBC's Brokerage and Trading brand, using strategies that support agile, continuous delivery
  • Maintain strong awareness of external industry trends, competitor approaches and strengths, regulator, and exchange reporting
  • Enhance our selfdirected trading platforms, leveraging customer data & HSBC's digital delivery capabilities
  • Identify innovation and partnerships to differentiate our Brokerage and Trading business from competitors
  • Solicit market intelligence and keep close dialogue with key stakeholders and customers to understand their needs, preference, and new product trends
  • Implement change through positive and proactive engagement with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Deliver commercial growth with a focus on market share and active selfdirected traders
  • Drive and manage strategic development and implementation to increase market competitiveness and enhance brand value
  • Collaborate and build effective relationships to support the proposition e.g., Local and Group Marketing, Customer, D&A, Proposition, Strategy, Strategic Partnerships, Technology and Digital
  • Working closely with D&A, SMEs and local markets, create dynamic dashboards and analytics models that deliver enhanced, actionable insights
  • Work alongside the Singapore capital markets team to support the growth of the retail brokerage business
  • Take the lead in platformrelated initiatives and projects in Singapore, especially those that are scalable regionally/globally
  • Take the lead in engaging with internal stakeholders (Network management & Risk stewards) as part of annual reviews of our existing platformsolution
  • Investigate client complaints pertaining to platformrelated issues and work closely with IT, operations, and our external vendors to identify root cause of issues and propose & drive the implementation of tactical fixes and longterm solutions
  • Participate in regular meetings with our external vendors and work together with the Singapore capital markets team to help manage such vendor relationships
  • Work together to formulate and drive promotions and campaigns for Singapore's wealth business, including helping with seeking requisite approvals and supporting in the fulfilment process for such promotions and campaigns
  • Work together with various stakeholders and assist in UAT for various projects pertaining to SG Retail Wealth (Equities) or having some crossover with SG Retail Wealth (Equities)
Requirements

  • Established track record of delivery within large financial services organizations, ideally with external partners
  • Years of working experience in mid senior role at retail or private banking investment product development
  • Experience in leadership at specialist brokerages, bankbrokers or fintechs is wellregarded
  • Expertise in brokerage and trading, especially listed product market infrastructure
  • Proven people management track record essential
  • University degree holder
