L3 VMware Engineer - Singapore - TEKsystems (Allegis Group Singapore Pte Ltd)

Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced L3 VMware Engineer to join our banking MNC client. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing and maintaining their virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) environment. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, deployment, optimization, and troubleshooting of their VDI solution, which leverages VMware Horizon with UAG (Universal Access Gateway) and Connection Servers.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an L3 VMware Engineer or a similar role
• Strong understanding of VMware Horizon architecture, including UAG and Connection Servers
• Experience with designing, deploying, and managing VDI environments Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:

• Translate the architecture to a configuration guide and handling the migration.
• Deploy, and manage a VDI environment using VMware Horizon, UAG, and Connection Servers
• Configure and manage UAG for secure remote access to virtual desktops and applications
• Manage and optimize Connection Servers to ensure optimal performance and user experience for virtual desktops
• Troubleshoot and resolve VDI related issues
• Stay up-to-date on the latest VMware Horizon, UAG, and Connection Server features and functionalities
• Participate in VDI capacity planning and resource allocation
• Document VDI configurations and procedures
• Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of VDI with other enterprise systems
