Roles and Responsibilities of a Systems Engineer:

Supervise a project's systems engineering events as performed by the technical team.
Monitor, organize, and manage a project's tasks.
Assess and calculate the technical features of a project plan to ensure that the systems engineering procedures are operating correctly.
Implement and maintain the computer systems so they are compliant with the organization's guidelines or SOP (Standards Operating Procedure).
Monitor and manage all installed systems and infrastructure.
Evaluate existing systems and provide technical direction to IT support staff.
Oversee the development of customized software and hardware requirements.
Plan and implement systems automation as required for better efficiency.
Formulate and design the security system to maintain data safety.
Focus on workflows, optimization methods, and risk management tools for given projects.
Oversee the availability of technical resources.
Maintain and supervise inventory.
Ensure a rapid response to any technical issues.
A chief systems engineer confirms that the system strictly achieves a project's requirements and that a proper systems engineering method is being practiced.
