OVERVIEW:

Cap Vista, the venture investment arm for MINDEF, focuses on harnessing dualuse technologies from companies through strategic partnerships with reputable VCs, innovation entities, government agencies, and other ecosystem players. We aim to create value for our portfolio companies and Singapore's Defence Tech Community. Our areas of interest include cybersecurity, AI, autonomy and robotics, sensors, and network and communications.

We are seeking an innovative and technically strong individual to join Cap Vista as Head of Strategic Partnerships.

In this role, you will play a central role in facilitating and promoting the engagement and adoption of dual-use technologies by our Defence partners.

Responsibilities:

Conduct indepth technical analysis and market research to identify promising dualuse technology startups with potential applicability to defence needs.
Possess a deep understanding of MINDEF's technological needs and challenges to effectively bridge the gap between Defence and the startup ecosystem.
Cultivate and develop a strong network within the startup ecosystem and relevant industry players.
Lead and manage various partnership and engagements with identified strategic partners and other global players to enhance Cap Vista's effectiveness in harnessing dualuse technologies.
Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders across Cap Vista and MINDEF to ensure successful onboarding and integration of dualuse technologies.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Proven track record in evaluating and integrating emerging technologies in a relevant field.
Strong understanding of the Singapore Defence ecosystem and its technological landscape.
Understanding of relevant emerging technologies (e.g., AI, cybersecurity, robotics).
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Strategic thinking and the ability to develop and manage winwin partnerships.
A selfstarter with a strong work ethic and the ability to thrive in a fastpaced environment.
