POSITION PURPOSE:
1. Establish Department as a keen business partner and play a contributory role to the Bank's business strategy.
2. Formulate and oversee the development of critical business risk related strategy/policies with a balanced orientation towards business growth, managed risk, efficiency, enhance productivity and quality service.
3. To identify, evaluate, monitor, report and control/mitigate risks and to properly document risk management strategies, policies and procedures
Responsibilities
Main Responsibilities:
1. Cross Border
- Coordinate opinions / feedback from internal stakeholders (Compliance, Legal etc.) and external service providers/lawyers on cross border country manuals, topics and queries
- Management of Crossborder Certification and access management to country manuals.
- Preparation of monthly / quarterly reports to be presented in Crossborder Committee meeting ensure that the report preparation process is efficient, data integrity is maintained and reports are issued on a timely basis
- Lead and coordinate implementation and updates on relevant cross border related policies
- Implementation and monitoring of controls and remediation plans
- Provide advisory support to FO and relevant stakeholders related to cross border topics
2. Pre-trade Client Suitability Assessment for Private Equity Funds
- Perform pretrade Client Suitability Assessment for PE Funds.
- Based on assessment, assist FO to carry out necessary actions for proper rectification with clients (E.g. mismatch handling).
3. Take on ad-hoc projects and initiatives as signed by Department Head including new product approvals and regulatory projects
TECHNICAL & BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES:
- Strong understanding of risk control framework and operational risk management
- Ability to collaborate effectively
- Ability to manage / facilitate a meeting, seminar, committee, training
- Attention to details with good communication skills both written and orally.
SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS (IF REQUIRED):
- At least 7 years working experience in the Compliance/Control/ Risk area.
Other/Specific Qualifications (if required)
- Ability to manage large set of data for analysis and performance indicators
- Excellent in stakeholder management as this is a business advisory role which requires engagement with Market Heads and Senior Management
