    Description
    Roles & Responsibilities

    Responsibilities:

    1. Strategic Planning: Develop logistics strategies and plans to support organizational goals and objectives. Coordinate with other departments to ensure alignment of logistics activities with overall business objectives.
    2. Transportation Management: Coordinate the transportation of goods, including selecting carriers, negotiating contracts, and monitoring performance to ensure timely delivery while minimizing costs.
    3. Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels and ensure optimal stock levels to meet customer demand. Implement inventory control measures to reduce waste and minimize carrying costs.
    4. Warehouse Operations: Manage warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and distribution of goods. Implement efficient warehouse layouts and workflows to optimize space and improve productivity.
    5. Supplier Relations: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. Negotiate contracts and terms to secure favorable pricing and terms.
    6. Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulations governing transportation, storage, and distribution of goods, including safety and environmental regulations. Implement procedures to minimize risks and ensure adherence to legal requirements.
    7. Performance Monitoring: Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the performance of logistics operations. Monitor KPIs regularly and implement corrective actions as needed to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
    8. Team Management: Lead and manage a team of logistics professionals, including hiring, training, and performance management. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
    9. Budget Management: Develop and manage logistics budgets, including forecasting expenses and monitoring variances. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
