    Description

    The Role

    Job Responsibilities

    • Monitor legal risk in documentation and giving guidance on the acceptable assumption of risk
    • Give accurate and timely counsel to executives in a variety of legal topics
    • Negotiate client/Brunel agreements both commercially and legally
    • Participate in project pre-qualifications and pre-qualification meetings
    • Tender review and tender preparation in coordination with GM, Operations Manager and Recruitment Manager
    • Assisting for commercial tender bid
    • Review client contracts on commercial, insurance and liability compliance etc
    • Collaborate with management to devise efficient defense strategies
    • Communicate and negotiate with client/contractor on contractual questions and issues
    • Ensure client contractual compliances according to the client specific terms
    • Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations
    • Draft and solidify agreements, contracts and other legal documents
    • Provide clarification on legal language or specifications
    • Deal with complex matters with multiple stakeholders
    • Update records of commercial/contractual agreements

    What We Expect of You

    • Relevant experience in the Legal industry and proven experience reviewing legal contracts in the business environment
    • Demonstrated ability to create legal defensive or proactive strategies
    • Outstanding interpersonal, networking, and communication skills
    • Effectively bilingual in English and Chinese. Fluency in speaking English and Mandarin.
    • Comfortable in reading and writing legal documents and clauses in English and Chinese.
    • Organized, meticulous, and has a good sense of time management.
    • High degree of professional ethics and integrity
    • Sound judgement and ability to analyse situations and information
    • Independent and a team player
    • Excellent interpersonal skill with positive attitude and mindset

    QUALIFICATION AND EXPERINCE

    • Bachelor's degree in law, contract management or related filed or degree in any other filed with a diplomas or related course in law
    • 5+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
    • Advanced knowledge and experience in negotiating contracts (EPCs/ Supply Agreement/ Services contracts)
    • You should possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, with problem-solving skill. Intellectual curiosity, strong professional judgment, work independently and have initiative mindset
    • A legal background or contractual knowledge acquired from a previous experience
    • Advanced understanding of project risk management requirements such as insurance, securities, guarantees, liquidated damages, etc.
    • A 'Can Do' attitude and enjoy finding solutions to contractual issues / challenges
    • You are pragmatic, able to balance contractual and business risks, priorities, oversights and compliance
    • Analytical and rigorous, you are able to break-down and explain complex topics to a variety of stakeholders
    • Good command of the English language to review contracts in English
    • Good command of the Chinese language to review contracts in Chinese
    • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines
    • Strong time management skills and experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
    • Detail oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision.
    • A solid understanding of legal terminology and contract law
