Safety Manager - Singapore - TEKsystems (Allegis Group Singapore Pte Ltd)

Description

The Safety Lead will be responsible for overseeing and implementing safety protocols and procedures to ensure the well-being of all personnel involved in the construction of our data center. They will work closely with the construction team, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies to enforce safety standards, conduct inspections, and mitigate potential hazards.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive safety policies and procedures for the construction site, in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions for construction personnel to promote awareness and adherence to safety protocols.
• Perform site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and develop strategies to prevent reoccurrence.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to address safety concerns and implement solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, and training sessions.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies regarding safety compliance matters.
• Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging safety trends to continuously improve safety performance on-site.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Registered MOM Workplace Safety and Health Officer equivalent certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction safety management, preferably in large-scale projects such as data center construction.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant safety regulations, codes, and standards (e.g., OSHA, NFPA, ANSI).
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively communicate safety requirements and motivate teams to achieve safety goals.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to construction sites as needed.
