LNG Trading Analyst, SG


RESPONSIBILITIES

Position Description
The role of Trading Analyst is part of the LNG Trading team within JERAGM's LNG business. The individual will play a key part in the management and optimisation of JERAGM's LNG portfolio.


The individual will be responsible for supporting the LNG Trading and Origination teams including the booking of LNG and financial deals in the relevant systems, identifying potential optimisation opportunities, generating exposure and P/L analysis for trades and optimisations, and adhoc desk requirements in support of the maximisation of PnL for JERAGM.


Main Responsibilities

  • Support the management of existing LNG portfolio and ensure an efficient interface with other members of the LNG business
  • Identify and assist in projects to improve the competitiveness and efficiency of the LNG business
  • Verify deal entry accuracy and monitor P&L and exposures
  • Perform post deal analysis and reconciliation on deal P&L against predeal economics and assumptions
  • Identify and rectify system errors
  • Coordinate effectively with trading analysts and other relevant teams to ensure consistency of approach and alignment with spot, medium and corporate assumptions.
  • Assist the team with key contract summaries and position limitations.
  • Assist Traders in generating sustainable ways of optimised contractual terms.
  • Work with Operations on problem resolution and flag to Traders if commercial intervention is required.
  • Remain at all times compliant with requirements of compliance, code of conduct and regulatory requirements
  • Draft presentations and proposals for Senior Commercial managers as directed
  • Function as teamplayer and foster a collaborative and open working environment across the LNG business and other functions of JERAGM

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience Required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Proactive and positive attitude to problem solving and process improvements

Experience Preferred

  • 3 years or relevant working experience
  • Understanding of valuation, pricing or risk in commodity trading environment.
  • Experience of working with ETRMs to represent commodity positions
