    Description

    Overview

    Performs production scheduling, production, inspection work, sets up machines, troubleshooting and support engineering in new start up projects.

    Responsibilities

    Support Supervisor

    • Supervises and train a team of production associates in performing work efficiently to meet production schedules.
    • Capacity planning.
    • Ensure daily production output meet quality, productivity, yield and delivery targets.
    • Operates machine and equipment supporting Optics production.
    • Handle cobot stations where required by the process.
    • Update process data into system for process monitoring.
    • Production line troubleshooting in both manual and automation stations.
    • Data updates on machine routine maintenance record.
    • Inventory and shelf life control of auxiliary material.
    • Maintains good housekeeping, correct usage of Personal Protective Equipment provided and comply with company safety rules and regulations.
    • Comply and adhere to the Regulatory, Quality and Envirnoment-Health-Safety requirement.
    • Any other duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor from time to time.

    Support Engineering

    • Able to read Engineering drawings, process documents and inspection plans for new start-up.
    • Assists engineer in engineering evaluation and analyzing process problem and to implement solutions to the problem.
    • Provides technical support in solving/trouble shooting, productivity improvement, yield improvement and failure analysis to identify causes to prevent future occurrences.
    • Assists engineer in the quality and productivity improvement program.

    Requirements

    • Diploma in Engineering or equivalent OR
    • NITEC with 3 years relevant working experience in an Optics operations / manufacturing environment
    • Able to work with automation devices, controls and cobots.
    • Able to work with CNC machines added to the advantage.
    • Language proficiency in English
