- Analyze data collected from the Hong Kong Public Records Offices and the National Archives at Kew.
- Work with PI and turn the findings into journal articles for submission.
- Carry out literature survey on environmental crises and the Cold War.
- Coordinate with the History and Economics Postdoctoral Research Fellows and the PI.
- Organize seminars and conferences on the research topic.
- Master/MPhil in History, specializing in post-war Hong Kong studies/Cold War (broadly defined) /environmental history would be desirable.
- Knowledge in historical methods and ability to analyze qualitative data and statistics.
- Ability to read and interpret Chinese sources, fluency in Cantonese would be advantageous, for data analysis.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build productive relationships within the research team and beyond NTU
- Highly self-motivated, capable of working as part of a team.

Roles & ResponsibilitiesWe are looking to appoint a full-time Research Associate (History) at the School of Humanities in Nanyang Technological University (NTU). The research associate will be in a collaborative team with the Principal Investigator (Florence Mok) and two postdoctoral research fellows based in NTU's History Department working on the history of environmental crises and the Cold War in colonial Hong Kong.
