    Roles & Responsibilities

    This role will be a part of our APAC Tax planning team and have the opportunity to undertake a variety of tax compliance and accounting matters for the Group entities in Singapore and APAC region (excluding China and Vietnam). The role will also undertake various operational tax advisory work arising from the tax compliance and accounting matters. The role will be 70% compliance and 30% advisory.

    Compliance and Reporting

    • Manage tax compliance (direct and indirect taxes, including withholding taxes) activities together with EDPR APAC and EDPR Global Tax Planning team and the finance community of the APAC platform.
    • Prepare / Review quarterly tax provisions (current and deferred taxes) and prepare quarterly tax reporting packages for Global Reporting requirements.
    • Support company-wide initiatives aiming at achieving a sustainable tax compliance and accounting for the Group.
    • Ensure accurate and timely APAC tax reporting to relevant stakeholders (e.g., EDPR APAC management, EDPR management, tax authorities, auditors, etc.).
    • Work with other Business areas such as Finance and Accounting in the reinforcement of the Transfer Pricing Policies.
    • Monitor and control tax compliance, tax accounting and tax reporting activities within assigned geographies.
    • Assist with any TP documentation/ obligations / queries/ audits by working closely with external service providers, local teams as well as EDPR Tax Planning team

    Operational Tax Advisory

    • Work with other business functions such as Accounting, Corporate Finance, Treasury, Planning and Control, Procurement, Mergers & Acquisitions, etc.
    • Advice Accounting function and other functions of Finance and business regarding intercompany recharges matters from a tax perspective.
    • Follow legislative changes in various geographies where the Group is present and monitor their respective impact in Group's operations.
    • Work with Head of Tax and APAC Tax Manager to implement the tax planning opportunities arising from the daily operational work.
    • Develop processes to improve coordination of inter-disciplinary teams to anticipate tax risks and opportunities for EDPR APAC

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor of Accountancy or equivalent ·
    • At least 4 to 5 years' experience in the tax practice of a professional accountancy firm or an MNC environment
    • Good knowledge of the Singapore tax System and international Tax
    • Able to translate technical tax issues into practical business solutions.
    • Strong Excel and analytical skills.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Strong business acumen
    • Hands-on, open, creative, and pro-active mentality and keen to work in a team
