Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage the team(s) of vessel accountants to ensure vessel reports are submitted to the clients/ stakeholders within the agreed time frame
  • Liaise with Vessel Owners to ensure their accounting requirements are fulfilled
  • Responsible for the management of Accounts Receivable of the Vessels and ensure all receivables are properly monitored / reviewed on periodic basis
  • Collaborate with the vessel accountants to identify the different revenue streams and ensure timely recovering of the same from Ship Owners
  • Drive the derivation of periodical financial position for all accounts receivables and submit to relevant senior management
  • Accountable for providing decision support to relevant internal stakeholders through vessel's financial analysis.
  • Derive high level insights from analysis of historical financials and future projections to guide decision making process of relevant internal stakeholders, and align business decisions with financial implications
  • Collaborate with relevant internal stakeholders to examine and address causes of variance in budget or forecasts, and present findings to the Senior Manager Finance and Accounting Singapore
  • Develop capabilities of direct reports through formal or informal mentorship and implementation of development plans
  • Drive the identification and addressing of gaps in competencies through performance review of direct reports and collaboration with HR
