Roles & Responsibilities:

Based at Norvic Shipping's Singapore office, as a vital part of the Pacific Ocean Region Supramax Cargo Desk, you'll craft and lead the business development strategy Identify dislocations in tonnage supply and provide strategic recommendations to the team Negotiate deals (Time Charter/Voyage Charter in and out), charter-in of tonnage on voyage or time to cover the company's contractual obligations.

This includes presenting business opportunities to potential clients, negotiating all terms and conditions of contracts, and overseeing them through to their conclusion.

Ensure any follow-ups, including all operational aspects both pre and post-fixture Assist in promoting the company's dry bulk transport services to new clients by attending or presenting at industry events and conducting direct business-to-business customer visits.

Represent Norvic Shipping to clients and establish solid, cooperative, and constructive relationships to guarantee complete customer satisfaction.

Foster business in the dry bulk sector for Pacific Ocean regions Continuously update the company on market movements in the Pacific & Indian Ocean regions for the dry bulk sector.

Implement best practices in all domains to boost company profitability and maximize cost optimization Collaborate with the team to advance market intelligence, as well as freight and commodities research influencing the supply and demand of freight markets Strategically increase trading volumes to expand and develop the business Coordinate effectively with other internal departments to harness cross-functional opportunities and ensure harmonized communication and strategy implementation Establish and maintain robust relationships with global ship owners, not only granting Norvic Shipping unmatched tonnage access to their cargo base but also to position the cargo with tonnage length as necessary.

Engage with industry professionals to keep updated on market trends and industry happenings Oversee broker and client relationships Execute any other chartering duties as allocatedQualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's Degree and above qualifications Must be fluent in both English and Norwegian, with the ability to clearly communicate, both in writing and verbally, with internal and external clients Possess intimate familiarity and experience with the Norwegian and Scandinavian Dry Bulk Shipping markets Demonstrated organizational and communication abilities At minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in the shipping business Proficiency in using IMOS, an ERP for the Shipping Business, is essential Proven negotiation skills and the capability to achieve market-beating levels Ability to thrive and deliver results in a demanding and dynamic setting
