Responsibilities:

Provide compliance advice and serve as resource to SPDA groups to provide assistance regarding compliance issues.
Make recommendations to SPDA management regarding 1) internal controls and safeguards 2) regulatory and legal compliance 3) changes to SPDA's policies or procedure manuals and drive implementation of these initiatives.
Formulate and perform risk assessments to assess effectiveness of key controls designed to address business compliance risk.
Liaise with various internal stakeholders to seek clearance for compliance related matters.
Evaluate SPDA management responses to all compliance reports, tracking findings and verifying that remediation is implemented
Review and prepare forms and documents (such as internal checksheets and records, questionnaires, selfassessment reviews, risk assessments, mandatory training records and SPDA policies, transaction and procedure manuals etc) for internal compliance reporting purposes
Assist during internal and external audits or inspections, including following up on and assisting in resolving identified issues or deficiencies
Schedule and conduct compliance training to SPDA groups to ensure that they are provided with sufficient education to ensure compliance.

Job Requirements

Degree holder, with 610 years of compliance, risk or regulatory work experience in banking industry.
Good knowledge and understanding of financial regulatory requirements such as Banking Act, Securities and Futures Act and its related notices/subsidiary legislation and ability to apply.
Good judgement, problem solving skills and be results/task oriented to ensure sound implementation of controls, compliance processes and procedures.
Team player and demonstrated ability to work across all levels of the organization.
Strong analytical and with good communication skills.
Proactive, independent and resourceful.
Able to work under time constraints and pressure.
