Description

**Our client is a Global MNC, one of the leading players in the Oil & Gas sector. Due to business needs, they are now recruiting a Senior Engineer (Piping) to be part of their team for ongoing transformation projects. They are located in the West - easily accessible.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the preparation of technical proposals, and supporting commercial tenders by defining project scope, estimating resource requirements, and analyzing technical risks to propose effective mitigations.
Ensuring compliance with international piping design codes, standards, and material specifications, as well as adhering to regulatory and corporate requirements.
Developing 2D and/or 3D piping and equipment layout design drawings and preparing piping isometrics and bill of materials (BOM).
Coordinating and verifying piping interfaces with mechanical equipment, instruments, and steel structures, along with customer tieins.
Preparing project piping specifications, process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrument diagrams (PIDs), and equipment outline sketches, as well as participating in hazop reviews.
Creating technical specifications for various piping components such as sight glasses, steam traps, and strainers.
Producing any other necessary documents or specifications required for engineering purposes or complete skid plants.
Reviewing and checking the piping designs created by other engineers.
Providing recommendations for purchasing piping and inline components/systems, and procuring small parts for site rectification works, if necessary.
Participating in inspection witness activities, such as FAT/SAT, and verifying receipt of piping items delivered in accordance with purchase orders.
Collaborating with subcontractors for piping works and assisting in subcontracting for painting and insulation tasks when needed.
Establishing FAT, SAT, and commissioning procedures for piping systems when required.
Accurate reporting and documentation, including FAT test reports, SAT reports, and punchlist reports, as well as appropriate followup actions. Conducting fieldwork to verify conditions and provide supervision/support during site installation of piping and piping components. Offering startup and commissioning support for piping systems.
Regularly reporting to superiors or project managers on workload, project status, manhour usage, and fulfilling assigned duties.
Leading 3Dmodel piping review meetings.
Developing, maintaining, and enhancing piping design procedures, guidelines, standards, and templates for departmental use.
Providing onthejob guidance and supervision to employees regarding piping designrelated matters, including employees in other locations.
Monitoring project execution by employees throughout all stages of the project, from handover to plant startup. All other adhoc duties as assigned
