Posting Date: 8 Feb 2024The Health Services Research Unit (HSRU) is the enabler for health services research in support of the vision and strategies for research in SGH, including supporting SGH Research Peaks and other research areas.

As an enabler of research in SGH, HSRU needs to execute research support excellently, efficiently and with empathy.

Data Science and Actionable AI Lab (DSAIL) is a sub-unit housed in HSRU.

The Data Analyst will report to the director(s) of DSAIL for professional matters and to the manager of HSRU for operational matters.

The Data Analyst's main responsibilities are:

Creating and maintaining data pipelines
Managing data quality
Preparing data for machine learning
Performing exploratory data analysis
Building and testing machine learning models
Presenting data analysis results

Job requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, and Information Systems, Soft Engineering or any related computational disciplines or equivalent.
Advanced proficiency in Python, R, Java code writing
Handson experience with SQL database design
Extensive knowledge of ML frameworks, libraries, data structures, data modelling, and software architecture.
Indepth knowledge of mathematics, statistics, and algorithms.
Demonstrated technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques
Familiarity with healthcare database management systems and processes as well as healthcare data governance policies and regulation will be an advantage.
